Eyes to the Blind
By Robert Johnson Howard

V1 Born in to the world
Dismissed right out of hand
There love was just for fun
but he doesn’t understand
Lives in a workhouse, the master is cruel
Living day to day with his golden rule

V 2 Out on the street tin cup in his hand
A homeless refugee of the promised land
Looking straight ahead down a nowhere street
Blind eyes turned by everybody he meets

Bridge: Do you think your safe in that double mirror you look through?
What guarantees you got that this won’t happen to you

Chorus: I may not have the answers on the tip of my tongue
But I won’t bury my head in the sand cause it wrong
Things can get better and I think you will find
This 20-20 vision is like eyes to the blind

The invisible people find a hiding place
Rocking back and forth they stare blindly in space
They take some Prozac just to get through the day
Living with the blowback until they find another way

Bridge
Chorus Repeat to end

about

Robert Johnson Howard Newport, Rhode Island

Writing and recording is my passion. Its like a painting. It doesn't do any good stuck in my head so I might as well get it on disk before it drives me to cut my ear off.
